Applying to Enrol

The application process for enrolling with Freyberg and then getting a visa is as follows:

1. Please complete and sign the Application for Enrolment Form which includes the Tuition Agreement and Application for Homestay, along with the following attachments:
   • A copy of your Passport.
   • A copy of your school report with an English translation.
   • A letter of recommendation.
   • A letter from the student in their own handwriting explaining why they wish to study at Freyberg High School and how their studies here will contribute to their career aspirations.
      
2. Send your completed application to our Office either by post, email or fax at:

3. Once we have received your application, we will make a decision and get back to you.
   If required, we may request additional information. If you are successful in your application, you will be offered a conditional place at Freyberg High School.
    
4. To secure this place, you must ensure that all forms have been completed and signed and that fees are paid by telegraphic transfer directly into the school’s bank account.
    
5. When the school has received all the above information, you will be sent a 'Receipt of Fees' and a Final Offer of Place letter from the school.
    
6. You may then apply for a Student Visa at the nearest New Zealand Embassy. To obtain a Student Visa and Permit you will require:
   1. The original offer of place letter from the school containing the guarantee of homestay.
   2. The original receipt for tuition
   3. Valid Passport.
   4. A recent Passport photograph.
   5. A completed Student Visa application form.
   6. Application fee.
   
   
7. When the Student Visa has been obtained, please confirm travel arrangements to the Director of International Students so that the Director of International Students or a representative can meet the student at Palmerston North airport and take them to their homestay accommodation. Please fill in the form ‘Arrival Information’ and forward by email to the school.
