Athletics Preliminaries
Face Paint, Sunscreen, Stockings and Stubbies, all in patriotic house
colours were donned for this year's Athletics Prelims. Students participated
for house points and for a ticket to the
Athletics Finals. With every run,
sprint, jump and throw recorded, the house competition for participation is
always close.
Students spent the day divided into houses, and into junior intermediate and senior aged boys and girls. They high jumped, long jumped and triple jumped, ran 100m, 200m and hurdles, and threw javelin and the discus all day.
