Peer Support 2008

Peer Support is happening again in 2008 with the training days a great success. Mrs Velvin, the co-ordinator said it was a great way to welcome new students into the school, and instil in them a little bit of Freyberg Pride.

Over 60 Year-13 student leaders volunteered their time to attend the two training days in early February, in order to run in peers groups of 12 -15 new Year-9s. The course focuses on developing confidence, and self worth in participants, whilst valuing individuality, and fostering connections within the groups.
