Plenty on the line at Splash Carnival

With seniors gone for exams, and only a whisker separating the top three houses in the inter-house competition, it was up to the Junior Splash Carnival to decide the final fate of the Freyberg Inter-house Cup.

With Events including Whole House Swims, Kayaking, Rope-Pull Rescues, and even a bit of dancing, house colours and house pride filled the Freyberg Community Pool.

The Splash Carnival was comfortably won by a strong Kapiti house with Manawatu gaining some respect in second. The question is, will it be enough for Kapiti to gain the lead from recent winners - Tararua in Gymnastics, and Ruahine in Volleyball. There is now a nervous wait until Senior Prize-Giving before anyone knows for sure who lifts the House Cup in 2008.
