Profitable Year 10 Trade Fair
Fifteen groups of Year 10 students setup shop in the hall this week to sell items such as buttered chicken, energy drinks, donuts, muffins, pies, and candy floss. Students planned and advertised their products, budgeted and paid for expenses and created the products all themselves.

Mouse Over to see the hall at lunchtime
By
the end of lunchtime, crowds of people had passed through the hall
purchasing almost $1500 worth of the student's products. Paying for all the
expenses, and keeping all of the profits, students had a lot of interest in
how their product was marketed and sold. One group was quite pleased to take
home only a small profit, but a quite a large amount of confectionary.
Year 10 Economics teacher Mr Fisher was pleased with the results saying the "lessons learned about budgeting, advertising, creating a product and handling money, are much more memorable when you learn them first hand."
