Drama Academy Student Directed Plays

Group of moody people Two one act plays directed by Year 12 Academy students Paige Yorston-Little and Claire Gilchrist were performed by students in D1 on Tuesday 23 June.

One play was a comedy about a not-so-normal family and a special device, created by a wacky professor (Tyler Rickard-Simms) which altered their moods from totally freaked out, to incredibly soppy to distraught. The other play focused on Katherine’s (Sarah Gordon) decision to run away. As she waits for a bus to arrive, she meets her alter-ego (Alexia Clarke) and remembers the events that led up to this point in her life.

These plays were well supported and the audience enjoyed some entertaining performances. Well done to both of our first time directors!
