Freyberg Entertains at Shakespeare Festival
The
Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival was a chance for 16 Freyberg Students to
participate in a national competition run by Otago University.
Performing Scenes from the play "As You Like It", the experience was a chance for senior performing arts stars to introduce the next generation of performers to regional competition. The cast had no shortage of experience including Freyberg's Stage Challenge Director, the winner of Freyberg Idol 2008, lead actors from Freyberg's 2008 senior Production, and the lead actor from Massey University's 2008 Summer Shakespeare.
The actual performance demonstrated the performing arts culture of Freyberg, with the multi talented actors including a sonnet into their three scene excerpt.
