Clouds Part for Athletic Prelims

After several days of rain, the sun came out and provided a fantastic environment for athletics prelims this year. Fifteen hundred students dressed in their house colours to compete in 10 track and field events around the school's fields. The top qualifiers of these events will compete at Athletics Finals on March 4th at the Massey Athletics track.

Sports Coordinator Rosemary Barsanti was delighted with all of the effort people put into the races, as well as the fine behaviour throughout the day.

After competing in 100m, 200m, 400m, Hurdles, Discus, Javelin, High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump the army of tired bodies went home - many with unexpected sunburn.
