Swimming Sports 2010

The 2010 Freyberg inter-house competition started with a splash this week with swimming sports filling the Freyberg community pool to capacity. The room was filled with noise and colour as Tararua and Ruahine traded chants.

Kapiti House held onto a slender lead for most of the morning however Manawatu and Tararua overtook them with strong showings in the double-points relays. Final results are not yet known, but initial indications place Tararua and Manawatu first and second, with Kapiti taking out third place.

The last race of the day was the Staff vs. Students relay, where after being thoroughly beaten last year, the Freyberg Staff Swim team was able to beat the best of the student swimmers in a medley relay.
