Senior Ball 2011 - Welcome to the Circus

A team of 50 staff members welcomed over 500 beautifully dressed students to Freyberg's Senior Ball 2011, held on Saturday night at the Travel Lodge.

The students arrived to their circus themed ball, eagerly greeted by fire eaters and clowns before making their way through the balloon filled entrance.

Freyberg band Blinders and Dragons and former Freyberg band The Nerines got the party rocking and the dance floor was spilling over with staff and students. In the next room, students mingled and enjoyed a range of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Staff joined the party, although many spent part of the evening in an adjoining room - watching the Bledisloe Cup game!

Principal Peter Brooks was delighted with another successful ball without alcohol or incident. Mr Brooks thanked all the students and staff involved in organising the event, in particular Deputy Principal Craig Steed, who worked closely with student leaders for months in the lead up to the ball, helping the make the ball an event that Freyberg students will remember for years to come.
